Stephen Nacco started his new job as president of Danville Area Community College Monday.

DACC President Alice Marie Jacobs says that program reductions and a tuition hike are helping them get through the summer and fall semesters without state funding.

DACC trustees will consider a proposed tuition increase of $10 per credit hour, expected to generate about $400,000 in additional revenue next year.

Danville Area Community College Trustees are scheduled for vote Tuesday evening on higher tuition and fees for the 2014-15 school year.
