Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Sergei Babayan is the soloist in Prokofiev’s “3rd Piano Concerto”. Music Director Ken-David Masur conducts. Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  You’ll hear Shostakovich’s “7th Symphony" and Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Asia” led by Leonard Bernstein and Mussorgsky’s “Khovanshchina: Prelude: Dawn on the Moskva River” led by Kurt Masur. Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra led by Vinay Parameswaran.  Violinist Julia Schilz is the soloist in Bruch’s “Scottish Fantasy”.  Also on the program, Shostakovich’s “5th Symphony” and Bartok’s “Dance Suite”.

The Champaign-Urbana Symphony plays Sibelius and Shostakovich.
