The Illinois Supreme Court on Wednesday heard arguments over whether victims of the illegal drug trade can sue dealers.

The governor’s new Opioid Prevention and Intervention Task Force made a stop in Urbana Thursday, to hear ways to curtail drug abuse in the state.

A bipartisan Congressional group focused on curbing the use of heroin and other drugs Tuesday released a list of legislation focused on law enforcement, prevention and drug treatment.

Terry Hairrell of Waukegan, Illinois served in the Army from 1967 – 1969.  While on combat missions in Vietnam, he was awarded a Purple Heart.  His war experiences scarred him deeply; but with help of a loving wife, he has recovered to make meaning of his experiences with those he served.
