The University of Illinois Springfield is the latest state school to see an enrollment decline, part a recent trend for the campus.  

Classes started this week at Parkland College in Champaign. The community college has seen a slow, steady decline in enrollment over the last decade. 

With a new enrollment manager in place, SIU-Carbondale's chancellor thinks change is on the horizon.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign set an enrollment record for the seventh consecutive year. The 10-day total enrollment, graduate and undergraduate, on the Urbana campus is 47,826—up three percent from last year.

There’s a three percent increase in freshman enrollment at Northern Illinois University this year, the first such increase in six years.
