Saturday's home win versus the Wildcats ended a three-game losing streak for the Illini (18-11, 8-8 Big Ten)

The Illini drop to 7-8 in the Big Ten with their loss at Iowa Wednesday night. Rayvonte Rice led Illinois with 20 points.

Coach John Groce says the redshirt junior plans on earning his degree before transferring to another college to pursue a master's degree.
 

The Badgers took charge of the game with a 15-2 run.  The Illini never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

The Illini improve to 6-5 in Big Ten Conference play, and have won three straight.   Illinois was 12 of 16 from the free throw line, and shot 41 percent from the field.
