ILLINOIS CLASSICAL: The Evening Concert: MARCH 15 – 16 –17 – 18 – 19 – 20, 2026 

Tuesday night June 10 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra”. From his CSO debut concert program of 2017 you’ll hear Jakub Hrůša lead the group in Smetana’s complete cycle of symphonic poems, “Ma Vlast” My Fatherland”.

Tusday night March 12 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Mahler’s “9th Symphony”, one that contains the hallmarks of Mahler’s symphonies — grand scale, profound emotions, and folk-dance themes — capped by an ethereal finale of transcendent rapture.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Coleridge-Taylor’s “Ballade” for Orchestra and Dvorak’s “6th Symphony”. Also on the program Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” with soloist Joelle Harvey.

Tuesday night April 19 at 7:00 on the Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Jakob Hrusa guest conducts Dvorak’s “6th Symphony” and Coleridge-Taylor’s Op. 33 “Ballade”. Also on the program Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915”.
