You’ll hear Sibelius’ “The Swan of Tuonela” and Mahler’s “5th Symphony”. Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkelä conducts. Also on the program Jimmy Lopez Bellido’s “Aino”.

Tuesday night April 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Shostakovich’s “10th Symphony”. Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkela conducts. Also on the program Shostakovich’s “1st Cello Concerto” with soloist Sol Gabetta.

Wednesday night December 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9FM/HD1. You’ll hear Grieg’s “Piano Concerto” with soloist Leif Ove Andsnes and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra led by Klaus Mäkelä. Also on the program Schumann’s “2nd Symphony” and Mendelssohn’s “Hebrides Overture”.

Tuesday night September 17 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear two works by Shostakovich, the “10th Symphony” and the “1st Cello Concerto” featuring soloist Sol Gabetta.  Klaus Mäkelä guest conducts.
