Student Activists Prepare For Climate Strike; Police And Home Surveillance Cameras; Fall TV Preview

Illinois high school and college students tell us how they want to see our leaders address climate change ahead of a planned walkout called the Global Climate Strike. Plus, doorbell cameras in homes have become more common. Some police departments, are hoping this network of privately owned cameras can help them stop crime. But it also raises some concerns about privacy. The town of Quincy, Illinois is enjoying the spotlight after being featured in the popular Netflix makeover show Queer Eye. We talk to the band teacher who brought the Fab Five to Illinois. Also, it’s finally beach season. Even though we don’t live by the ocean, Lake Michigan is always a drive away. But it turns out the water is sometimes too dirty for swimmers. Plus, Chicago officials made it clear they won’t cooperate with the Trump administration’s current immigration deportation policy. That resistance harkens back to another era more than a century ago. And, we hear tips for making classic Chicago deep dish pizza at home.

Television Icon Lear, Actress Huppert, To Attend 19th Ebertfest

Producer Norman Lear, who rose to prominence with programs like "All in The Family", and "The Jeffersons" has been announced as a guest at the 19th Annual Roger Ebert's Film Festival, scheduled for April 19-23 at Champaign's Virginia Theatre, accompanying the 2016 documentary "Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You." Also announced Friday as a guest is actress Isabelle Huppert, accompaying the 2016 thriller "Elle" for which she received an Oscar nomination.
