Monday night September 12 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Brahms’ “1st Symphony” and Webern’s arrangement of Bach’s “Fugue” from “Musical Offering”. Simone young guest conducts. Also on the program Dvorak’s “Cello Concerto” with soloist Sheku Kannah-Mason.

Monday night August 22 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. The featured work is Beethoven’s “Missa Solemnis” conducted by Kurt Masur.  Also on the program Mendelssohn’s “Violin Concerto in E Minor” with soloist Nathan Milstein, and Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony.

Monday night July 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Leonard Bernstein conducts the Philharmonic in his “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story” and the Overture to Candide.  Also on the program Copland’s “Clarinet Concerto”.

Monday night July 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Leonard Bernstein conducts the Philharmonic in his “Chichester Psalms”, Bach’s “5th Brandenburg Concerto” and Schumann’s “Mandfred Overture”. Also on the program music by Debussy, and Virgil Thomson.
