State Representative Luis Arroyo has resigned, one week after his arrest on federal bribery charges.

State Senator Martin Sandoval, who is under federal investigation for possible bribery and fraud involving state construction work, resigned Friday as head of the powerful Illinois Senate Transportation Committee, hours after the chamber released an unredacted search warrant revealing more details about an FBI raid last month.

State Senator Thomas Cullerton has pleaded not guilty to federal charges alleging he took more than $250,000 in salary and benefits over three years from the Teamsters while doing little or no work.
