Beethoven was about 40 when he wrote his "Serioso" String Quartet (1810). Schumann was born the same year as the "Serioso" Quartet was composed.
Some people can tell the difference in pitch, others not. Whether you can or cannot tell the difference, there are two works tonight in the "Key of G Minor".
