Emails regarding university business that were sent on private email accounts are finally being released, after they were omitted from FOIA requests regarding controversial issues from the Steven Salaita case to the new medical school at the Urbana campus.

In a statement, Wise said 'external issues have arisen over the past year that have distracted us from the important tasks at hand.'  She will return to faculty.  U of I President Timothy Killeen said he's in the process of selecting an interm chancellor.
