Over the past month, three universities across Illinois have witnessed labor disputes that have resulted in strikes by their unionized members: Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, and Governors State University. These strikes are actually following a national trend in higher education. Unionized members have been striking across the country for better wages, better work environments, among other things.

The 21st was joined by two journalists that have been following the strikes.
