“Pedestrians in Peoria” traverse every city street

Two women in Peoria have taken the idea of “going out for a walk” to a whole new level. The two childhood friends from Peoria set out in November of 2019 to traverse all 1,639 streets in Peoria, and they joined us to talk about why they set out on this journey and what it did to their relationship. This segment originally aired November 4, 2021.

Interview: US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm

This week, U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is traveling to Illinois to visit clean energy sites. It comes a day after President Joe Biden signed an executive order to continue pushing America toward cleaner and more sustainable energy. She joined The 21st to talk about the executive order, the recently-passed infrastructure bill, electric vehicles, and more.
