The concert, recorded live, comes to us from the Philharmonic's archives.
Some of the works you'll hear this week: "Mass in B Minor", "40th Symphony in G Minor", a "6th Symphony", a "100th Symphony", a "1st String Quartet", and a "Prelude and Ground".
You'll hear a late string quartet by Beethoven, a work for 8 players by Balakirev and music by Dutch composer and organist Sweelinck.
The composer John Admas conducts this program from Cleveland.
Music by Wagner and Saint-Saens will also be heard on the program.
Also to be heard: Liszt's "Prometheus" symphonic poem and music of Brahms in an orchestration by Schoenberg.
There's also a piccolo concerto by Vivaldi, and music by Hindemtih and John Knowles Paine.
