Wednesday night April 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. You’ll hear Sibelius’ “2nd Symphony”, Rautavaara’s “Cantus Arcticus” and Julia Perry’s “Stabat Mater. Dalia Stasevska guest conducts.
Tuesday night April 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra”. Cameron Carpenter is the organ soloist in Saint-Saens’ “ ‘Organ’ Symphony” and Poulenc’s “Organ Concerto”. Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider guest conducts. Also on the program Dukas’ “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
Monday night March 31 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Brahms’ “A German Requiem” with the Philharmonic, Concert Chorale New York, and vocal soloists Ying Fang and Matthias Goerne.
Sunday night March 30 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 you’ll hear Schubert’s D. 934 “Fantasy for Violin and Piano” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 it’s “The Orchestral World of Astor Piazzolla” on “Fiesta”.
Friday night March 28 at 7:00 on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “Early Music Now with Sara Schneider”. You'll hear a program titled “A Bach Family Album”. Broadcasting this program Friday nights at 7:00 permits us to collect new local recordings for use on future “Prairie Performances”.

Wednesday night March 26 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. Music Director Franz Welser-Most conducts the group in Bartok’s “Suite from the Miraculous Mandarin”, the “Adagio” from Mahler’s unfinished “Symphony No. 10” and Ernst Krenek’s ‘Little Symphony”.
Tuesday night March 25 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra”. From the archives you’ll hear Stravinsky’s “Fireworks”, Scriabin’s “Prometheus”, Schoenberg’s “Variations for Orchestra” and other works conducted by Pierre Boulez.
Monday night March 24 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the Philharmonic’s vast archives, you’ll hear Copland’s “Appalachian Spring”, Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Greensleeves”, Debussy’s “La Mer” and Ravel’s “Tzigane”.
