Sunday night July 21 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL- FM 90.9 you’ll hear Sibelius’ “Intimate Voices” String Quartet from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Ricardo Castro on Fiesta and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.
Thursday night July 18 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear another episode of “The Sound of 13”, a program that investigates the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night Jul 17 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the third program in a new series from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The program features Mozart’s “Prague” Symphony and Copland’s “Clarinet Concerto” featuring soloist Boris Allakhverdyan. Gemma New conducts.
Tuesday night July 16 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Richard Strauss’ “1st Horn Concerto” and Rachmaninoff’s “1st Piano Concerto”. These are works that were written when they each were only 18 years old (!)
Monday night July 15 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the archives you’ll hear Leonard Bernstein lead the Philharmonic in Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Aisa” and Shostakovich’s “7th Symphony”, “Leningrad”.
Sunday night July 14 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL- FM 90.9 you’ll hear Stravinsky’s “Suite italienne” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Rodolfo Halffter on Fiesta and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.

Wednesday night July 10 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the second program in a new series from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The program features two of Beethoven’s nine symphonies conducted by Zubin Mehta: the “6th Symphony”, the “Pastoral” and the “3rd Symphony”, the “Eroica”.
Tuesday night July 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear works found on a recently released CSO Resound label recording with Riccardo Muti leading the group in Philip Glass’ “11th Symphony” and Max Raimi’s “Three Lisel Mueller Settings”.
Monday night July 8 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the archives you’ll hear Leonard Bernstein conduct the Philharmonic in Copland’s “3rd Symphony” and Marc Blitzstein’s “Airborne Symphony”. Also on the program Richard Rodgers “Victory at Sea” Suite.
