The Evening Concert

Momday night June 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Charles Ives’ “Holidays Symphony” and Marc Blitzstein’s “Airborne Symphony”.

Sunday night June 8 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” you’ll hear two “Quartets”: one by Brahms and one by Zwilich on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 you’ll hear music by Paulo Bellinati on “Fiesta”.

Friday night June 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”. You'll hear Tchaikovsky’s Opus 11 “String Quartet in D Major” and Prokofiev’s “Flute Sonata”.

Wednesday night June 4 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the San Francisco Symphony with an all-Sibelius program. You’ll hear “Finlandia”, the “1st Symphony” and the “Violin Concerto” with Lisa Batiashvili as soloist. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts.

Tuesday night June 3 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra”. You’ll hear selections from the 2024 Ravinia Festival Opening Night Concert including Copland’s “Appalachian Spring Suite” and Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915”.

Monday night June 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Beethoven’s “3rd Symphony”, the “Eroica” and Shostakovich’s “Chamber Symphony” with the Philharmonic led by Jaap van Zweden.

Sunday night June 1 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” you’ll hear two “Quintets” by Mozart on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 you’ll hear music by Constantino Gaito on “Fiesta”.

Friday night May 30 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”. You'll hear Giuliani’s “Grand duo concertante for Violin and Guitar” and Bartok’s “1st Violin Sonata”.
