Thursday night August 15 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear another episode of “The Sound of 13”, a program that investigates the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night August 14 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Bass player Victor Wooten is the soloist in his work he calls “The Three Lessons”. Thomas Wilkins guest conducts. Also on the program Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story”.
Tuesday night August 10 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. It’s a program of works conducted by guest conductors Leopold Stokowski, John Williams, Neeme Jarvi and Pierre Monteux.
Monday night August 12 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. All the works on the program are by Leonard Bernstein. You’ll hear the Chichester Psalms, The Symphony No. 3 “Kaddish”, and the two Dybbuk Suites.
Sunday night August 11 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL- FM 90.9 you’ll hear Schumann’s Opus 41 No.2 “String Quartet” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of “Four Composers from Spain” on Fiesta and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.

Wednesday night August 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Daniil Trinfonov is the soloist in Brahms’ “2nd Piano Concerto”. Susanna Mälkki guest conducts. Also on the program Brahms’ “Academic Festival Overture”.
Tuesday night August 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Martin Helmchen is the soloist in Mozart’s “25th Piano Concerto”. Vladimir Jurowski guest conducts. Also on the program Shostakovich’s “8th Symphony”.
Monday night August 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the archives you’ll hear Ravel’s “Noble and Sentimental Waltzes” and Carl Nielsen’s “Clarinet Concerto” with soloist Anthony McGill. Former Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts.
