Wednesday night August 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. You’ll hear two works inspired by cities: New York and Los Angeles: Aaron Copland’s “Quiet City” and John Adams’ “City Noir”. Also on the program Timo Andres’ “Made of Tunes”.

Tuesday night at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkelä (MEHK-a-la) lead the group in music of Mahler, his “5th Symphony” and Jimmy Lopez Bellido, his “Aino” (EYE-no).
