The Arianna String Quartet is featured. They formed in 1992 and have been praised for “tonal warmth, fastidious balance…expressive vitality” (Chicago Tribune).
The composer calls the works a Nativity-Oratorio, with both the immediate association with Christmas, and with wider metaphorical and allegorical connections via the selected texts that serve as the lyrics for the work.
It's the annual “Romanesque Night” from Cologne, Germany and the music offerings are 'other-worldly'!
