The Evening Concert

Ring in the New Year with the Vienna Philharmonic in a live (5:00 p.m. Vienna time) concert of Strauss and other waltzes, polkas, marches and the like.

It's a New Year (2018!) and with that we start of two new series on Wednesday and Thursday evenings: the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Favorite waltzes and polkas of the Strauss'.

Susan Babini is the soloist for the "Rhapsody"; Music Director Edo de Waart conducts...

That would be the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and our own East Central Illinois Youth Orchestra ranks right up there with them....(although we're not going to hear from them tonight, alas...)

Storyteller Madafo Lloyd Wilson hosts this program of tales and traditions for Kwanzaa. Corva Coleman hosts the hour with the Spelman and Morehouse Glee Clubs as they sing spirituals and carols.
