Monday through Thursday and SUnday eves at 7 pm.

The Bach Orchestral Suite is the last work tonight, preceded by Telemann (an Overture-Suite) and preceding that, a string quartet and other chamber music from ealy 20th C Vienna.

Also on the program Beethoven's "7th Symphony" and a concert overture by Wagenaar.

Also on the program, waltzes, polkas, and marches by members of the Strauss family, like "Wine, Women, and Song".

from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Jaap van Zweden guest conducts.

Pekka Kuusisto plays the violin and conducts from the podium the Mahler Chamber Orchestra from Beethoven-fest, Bonn.

Monday night, it's Beethoven's "Violin Concerto" and Thursday night it's Korngold's "Violin Concerto", plus so much more on this week's "Evening Concert"

Opus 26 by Dvorak was written in 1871–1872 and Haydn's "93rd" Symphony was written in 1791, 80 years previous to the Dvorak.

Music by Beethoven (Egmont Overture) and Shostakovich (Symphony No. 8) are also on the broadcast.
