The Evening Concert

Beethoven's Third Symphony premiered was 7 April 1805. The work has had a profound impact on composers and their symphonies that followed, including Bruckner.

Stravinsky's "Petrtushka" is, as the composer subtitled the score, "A burlesque in four scenes".

Stravinsky was a youth of 11 when he caught a glimpse of near-the-end-of-his-life Tchaikovsky at the Mariinsky Theater...
