The Evening Concert

Besides the Gershwin, tonight's broadcast includes music of Ellington and Ives, and music by Zhao Jiping.

Ms. Young is becoming better known 'in these parts' by way of her guest conducting in the US. The program includes a rarely heard opera overture by Pfitzner (a contemporary of Sibelius).
