Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts: Munich Philharmonic: Dvorak's "New World" Symphony from Cologne.

This week's "Evening Concert" features the"New World" Symphony of Dvorak, the "Organ" Symphony of Saint-Saens, Mozart Piano Concertos, and week-ending Holiday Specials.

Christoph von Dohnanyi guest conducts tonight's all-Dvorak program.

Mitsuko Uchida has been performing and recording all of Mozart's piano concertos with the Cleveland Orchestra, a project she started in 2011.

Riccardo Muti explores the music of two Russian giants: Tchaikovsky and Scriabin, two composers with a common heritage but distinctive styles.

Leif Ove Andsnes plays Beethoven's first and last Piano Concertos and conducts the Mahler CHamber orchestra from the piano bench from Beethovenfest, Bonn.

Beethovenfest from Bonn continues, the CSO plays Schubert, Mozart from Cleveland, Dvorak from the Philharmonic and more on the "Evening Concert".

The two works on the first half of the show date from a mere twenty years apart.. the Franck from roughly 1889-90 and the Stravinsky from 1918.
