Tuesday night October 3 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Mozart’s “Gran Partita” Serenade and the “4th Violin Concerto featuring concertmaster Robert Chen. Riccardo Muti conducts.
Monday night Octobe 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Rachmaninoff’s “2nd Symphony” and Beethoven’s “2nd Piano Concerto” with soloist Yefim Bronfman. Jaap van Zweden conducts. The program differs from the one listed in Patterns Magazine.
Sunday night October 1 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Brahms’ “String Quartet No. 3” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Roberto Sierra and others on “Fiesta” and at 8:00 by Florence Price’s “3rd Symphony” on “Gateways Radio”.
Thursday night September 28 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”. You’ll hear Schubert’s “String Quintet in C Major”. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly live, call-in talk show focused on the people in the middle of the country. The programs differ from the listing published in Patterns Magazine.
Wednesday night September 27 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Recorded in early June of this year you’ll hear late works by Mozart: the Overture to “The Magic Flute”, the “Jupiter” Symphony, and the “Piano Concerto No. 27” with soloist Mitsuko Uchida.

Sunday night September 24 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Beethoven’s Op. 29 String Quintet from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Andrés Gaos on “Fiesta” and at 8:00 by Valerie Coleman’s “Portraits of Josephine” on “Gateways Radio”.
Thursday night September 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “Carnegie Hall Live”. Susanna Malkki conducts the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in Sibelius’ “2nd Symphony” and “Lemminkainen’s Return”. Also on the program Kaija Saariaho’s “Dream Wing”.
Wednesday night September 20 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Recorded in May of this year you’ll hear two world premiers by women composers: Ellen Reid’s “West Coast Sky Eternal” and Gabriella Smith’s “Lost Coast”. Also on the program Beethoven’s “7th Symphony”.
