Tuesday night December 27 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear “Part I” of Handel’s “Messiah” featuring Jessye Norman and selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” ballet.
Monday night December 26 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt “The New York Philharmonic This Week” to bring you two Holiday specials: “The Ballad of the Brown King” and “A Soulful Christmas”.
Sunday night December 25 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center” and “Fiesta” to bring you the Holiday special of traditional readings and music “A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols”.

Thursday night December 22 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra” for two holiday specials: “The Christmas Revels: In Celebration of the Winter Solstice 2022” and the “St. Olaf Christmas Festival”.
Wednesday night December 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra” for the holiday special “The Brass and Choral Holiday Concert” by Music of the Baroque led by their new Director Andrew Megill Director of Choral Activities at the University of Illinois.
Tuesday night December 20 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” so we can bring you two Hanukkah specials: “Candles Burning Brightly” from American Public Media and “Hannukah Lights” from National Public Radio.
Monday night December 19 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week” You’ll hear Handel’s “Messiah” with soloists Celena Shafer, Nancy Maultsby, Kurt Streit, Jonathan Lemalu, the Westminster Symphonic Choir and the New York Philharmonic.
Sunday night December 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center” to bring you the classic “Jonathan Winters’ ‘A Christmas Carol’”. At 8:00 we pre-empt “Fiesta” to bring you a new Holiday special “A Mexican Christmas”.
Thursday night December 15 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Guest conductor Nathalie Stutzmann makes her Heinz Hall debut leading the orchestra in Dvorak’s “New World” Symphony. Also on the program Brahms’ “Violin Concerto” with soloist Daniel Lozakovich.
Wednesday night December 14 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra”. Music Director Ken-David Masur leads the group in Bruckner’s “7th Symphony”. Also on the program Mozart’s 23rd Piano Concerto with soloist Jorge Federico Osorio.
