Bernhard Forck leads the Academy of Ancient Music Berlin in Mehul’s “1st Symphony in G Minor”, Knecht’s Grand Symphony: “A Portrait of Nature in Music” and Holzbauer’s Op. 4, No. 3 Symphony.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Music Director Riccardo Muti leads the group in the entirety of Smetana’s symphonic cycle “Ma Vlast” “My Fatherland”.   Also on the program Wagner’s “Siegfried Idyll”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Anne-Sophie Mutter is the soloist and conductor for three of Mozart’s violin concertos, the “1st”, the “3rd”, and the “5th”.

This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Mozart’s “5th Violin Concerto” from New York, Smetana’s “My Fatherland” from Chicago, Mehul’s “1st Symphony” from Schwetzingen, Beethoven’s “2nd Piano Concerto” from San Francisco, then Sunday chamber music by Brahms from Lincoln Center and by Schubert from Santa Fe.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Dvorak’s “American” String Quintet on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”.  At 8:00 you’ll hear Weinberg’s “Op. 24 Piano Trio” on the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”.

Teodor Currentzis leads the SW German Radio Symphony Orchestra in Richard Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration” and Mahler’s “1st Symphony in D Major”.  Also on the program music by Scelsi, Biber and Dowland.
