Wednesday night June 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Till Fellner is the soloist in Beethoven’s “3rd Piano Concerto”. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts.  Also on the program Haydn’s “Overture to ‘Armida’” and Mozart’s “39th Symphony”.

Tuesday night May 31 at 7:00 on the Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Concertmaster Robert Chen is the soloist in Max Bruch’s “1st Violin Concerto”.  Marek Janowski guest conducts. Also on the program Mendelssohn’s “Hebrides Overture” and Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony.

Thursday night May 26 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Music Director Ken-David Masur leads the group in two of Haydn’s “Paris” symphonies, numbers 85 and 86. Also on the program music by Joseph Boulogne.

Haydn’s oratorio “The Creation”

Wednesday night May 25 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. The Orchestra is joined by the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and vocal soloists Rachele Gilmore, Werner Gura, and Alexander Elliot in Haydn’s oratorio “The Creation”. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts.

Mahler’s “8th Symphony”

Monday night May 23 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. The Philharmonic is joined by the New York Choral Artists, the Dessof Symphonic Choir and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus plus eight vocal soloists in Mahler’s “8th Symphony”.

Thursday night May 19 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Former Artistic Advisor Stanislaw Skrowaczeski leads the group in Bruckner’s “8th Symphony”.  Also on the program Skrowaczeski’s arrangement of Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor”.
