This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Mozart’s  “Concerto for Flute and Harp” from New York, Chopin’s “2nd Piano Concerto” from Chicago, Bernstein’s “Serenade after Plato’s Symposium” from Cologne, Bruch’s “1st Violin Concerto” from Pittsburgh, then Sunday Ravel’s “Piano Trio” from Lincoln Center, and an episode of “Early Music Now”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Midori is the soloist in Mendelssohn’s “Violin Concerto in E minor”. Manfred Honeck conducts.  Also on the program Mozart’s “Haffner” Symphony and Brahms’ “1st Symphony”.

Igor Levit plays Mozart’s “12th Piano Concerto”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the third program in a new series of Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts. Igor Levit is the soloist in Mozart’s “12th Piano Concerto” with the West German Radio Symphony led by Cristian Macelaru. Also on the program Schubert’s “5th Symphony” and Wagner’s “Siegfried Idyll”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” with a program from their archives. Pierre Boulez conducts Mahler’s “7th Symphony”, Mozart’s K. 138 Divertimento, Webern’s “Passacaglia” and Stravinsky’s “Four Studies”.  The program differs from the one listed in Patterns Magazine.
