ACA Event To Show Stories Behind Numbers
You’ve heard all kinds of numbers related to the Affordable Care Act. The number of people gaining health insurance coverage. The increasing cost of premiums and deductibles. But behind all those numbers are the stories of real people and how the ACA has affected them.
You’ll hear some of those stories, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the ACA to a panel with a variety of perspectives, Tuesday at 7pm at the Champaign Public Library. The event will be hosted by C-U Citizen Access.
Illinois Public Media’s Brian Moline spoke with C-U Citizen Access reporter Johnathan Hettinger about tonight’s event, and how C-U Citizen Access collaborated with a University of Illinois journalism class to make it happen.
C-U Citizen Access is an online news project run by the College of Media at the University of Illinois Urbana campus.
