Emergency Test Interrupts Candidate On Focus
The two Democratic candidates for the 103rd legislative district were guests this morning on Focus on AM580.
Urbana City Council member Carol Ammons and Champaign attorney Sam Rosenberg agreed on many issues including education funding, taxes and job creation.
During the conversation, a required test of the Emergency Alert System automatically triggered, blocking out Ammons’ response to a question about how to pay for increased access to education.
Her answer will air in its entirety during the repeat of Focus Tuesday night at 8pm. The audio responses from both candidates also appear below.
Both candidates discussed the importance of education funding for both K-12 and college level students. They were asked how they would boost education funding at a time when the state is running large deficits.
