Former Gary Mayor Remembers When Trump Came To Town

Earlier this week, Trump received the endorsement of former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight -- one of the state’s most famous Hoosiers. But, Trump lost out on another prominent endorsement Friday when Indiana Gov. Mike Pence announced he’s throwing his support behind Texas Senator Ted Cruz. 

Noose, Swastikas Reported On U Of I Campus

Police at the University of Illinois' Urbana campus are investigating the appearance of three large swastikas in campus buildings while administrators say an employee has been fired over an apparently unrelated noose left on a table in a work area. 

MAP Grant Funds Not Distributed Equally

Following the signing this week of an emergency funding bill for higher education in Illinois, money for the Monetary Award Program, or MAP grants, has been released. But while students attending colleges on the semester system will receive about half the money they were expecting, those on the quarter system will get just one-third.
