Republicans Chris Miller, Dan Caulkins and Mike Marron defeated Democratic challengers in the race for Illinois state representative in the 110th, 101st and 104th Districts.

Chris Miller is the Republican candidate for state representative in the 110th Illinois House District, which runs from Charleston and Mattoon in Coles County, down to Robinson in Crawford County and Lawrenceville in Lawrence County

Democrat Shirley Bell of Mattoon is running for state representative in the 110th Illinois House District, which runs from Charleston and Mattoon in Coles County, down to Robinson in Crawford County and Lawrenceville in Lawrence County. 

Dan Caulkins and Cindy Cunningham are running for Illinois House seats in different districts and for different parties. But they both say they want to promote cooperation, not gridlock, after winning their respective primary races on Tuesday.

Shirley Bell of Mattoon says the two-year budget stalemate in Springfield inspired her to make her own run for the Illinois House.
