Wednesday night November 16 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra”.  You’ll hear “Siegfried’s Rhine Journey” from the Wagner opera “The Twilight of the Gods” and Humperdinck’s Orchestral Suite from “Hansel and Gretel”. Also on the program Grieg’s “Piano Concerto” with soloist Olga Kern.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s a Deutsche Welle Festival Concert. Avi Avital is the soloist in Bach’s “A Minor Violin Concerto”. Also on the program Beethoven’s “3rd Cello Sonata” and Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” and Boieldieu’s “Harp Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Stravinsky’s “L’Histoire du soldat” (The Soldier’s Tale) on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”.  At 8:00 you’ll hear “Music for the Duke of Milan” on “Early Music Now with Sara Schneider”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. Baritone Simon Keenlyside is the soloist in songs by Sibelius. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst conducts. Also on the program Strauss’ “Aus Italien” and selections from Grieg’s incidental music to “Peer Gynt”.
