Niala Boodhoo has more than two decades of experience in journalism — including, as the founding host and executive producer of the 21st Show.  She is launching a podcast in which she's interviewing religious scholars and looking at modern day issues from a spiritual point of view.

It’s been 10 years since The 21st Show first went on air, on March 14, 2016. We’ll listen back to a decade of the program and reflect on what’s happened in that time — in Illinois, in America, and around the world.

After three years with The 21st, Niala Boodhoo will be stepping down as the show’s host and executive producer, effective the end of July.

Niala Boodhoo, host and executive producer of Illinois Public Media’s The 21st, is one of 17 journalists named as Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellows for the 2019-20 academic year at the University of Michigan.
