Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the third program in a new series from the San Francisco Symphony led by their new Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen.  You’ll hear Schubert’s “5th Symphony” and the US premiere of Bryce Dessner’s “Violin Concerto”.

Tuesday night February 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Ravel’s “Mother Goose” ballet music and Stravinsky’s “Symphony in Three Movements”. Also on the program Bryce Dessner’s “Violin Concerto” featuring Pekka Kuusisto.

Wednesday night February 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony as performed by the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra led by Ariane Matiakh.  Also on the program, Charles Koechlin’s “Towards the Starry Vault” and Bryce Desser’s “Violin Concerto” with soloist Pekka Kuusisto.

Tuesday night November 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Guest conductor Hannu Lintu leads the CSO in Sibelius’ “Finlandia” and “5th Symphony” as well as Nielsen’s “Helios Overture” and “Violin Concerto” with soloist Pekka Kuusisto.
