Tuesday night August 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Martin Helmchen is the soloist in Mozart’s “25th Piano Concerto”. Vladimir Jurowski guest conducts. Also on the program Shostakovich’s “8th Symphony”.
Monday night August 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the archives you’ll hear Ravel’s “Noble and Sentimental Waltzes” and Carl Nielsen’s “Clarinet Concerto” with soloist Anthony McGill. Former Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts.
