Thursday night December 21 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 “The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival” is pre-empted to bring you a new holiday special from NPR: “A Paul Winter Solstice” featuring an array of Brazilian guests. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night December 20 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is pre-empted so that we can bring you two holiday specials: “In Winter's Glow” and “The Christmas Revels: In Celebration of the Winter Solstice”.
Tuesday night December 19 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” is pre-empted so that we can bring you two holiday specials: “A Latin American Christmas” and “A Mexican Baroque Christmas with the Rose Ensemble”.
Monday night December 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 “The New York Philharmonic This Week” is pre-empted so that we can bring you two holiday specials: “Christmas with the Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs” and “An Afro-Blue Christmas”.
Sunday night December 17 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 we pre-empt the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”, “Fiesta” and “Gateways Radio” for three holiday specials: “A Medieval Christmas”, “Advent with the Montserrat Boy Choir” and “Jonathan Winters’ A Christmas Carol”
Thursday night December 14 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 “The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival” is pre-empted to bring you a special never heard before on WILL: “A Chanukah Celebration with Chicago a cappella”. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night December 13 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is pre-empted so that we can bring you two Hanukkah specials: “Hanukkah Lights” from National Public Radio and “Candles Burning Brightly” from American Public Media.
Tuesday night December 12 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Ravel’s “La Valse”, Debussy’s “La Mer” and Shostakovich’s “1st Violin Concerto” with soloist Vadim Gluzman. David Afkham guest conducts.
Monday night December 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear selections from Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Swan Lake”, Lyadov’s “The Enchanted Lake” and Shostakovich’s “10th Symphony”. Alan Gilbert conducts.
Sunday night December 10 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear an all-Handel program from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Argentine composer Alberto Williams on “Fiesta” and at 8:00 by Valerie Coleman’s “Afro” on “Gateways Radio”.
