It’s a program that examines the intersection of the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night January 17 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and Aaron Copland’s “Piano Concerto” with soloist Paul Lewis and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra led by Domingo Hindoyan. Also on the program Rachmaninoff’s “Symphonic Dances”.
Tuesday night January 16 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony and Richard Strauss’ “Aus Italien”. Also on the program Philip Glass’ “The Triumph of the Octagon”.
Monfay night January 15 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear John Knowles Paine’s “1st Symphony”, William Schuman’s “8th Symphony” and the Suite from ‘The Mother of Us All’” by Virgil Thomson. Also on the program Charles Ives’ “Three Places in New England”.
Sunday night January 14 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Beethoven’s “Op. 9, No. 1 String Trio” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by “Baroque Music from Latin America” on “Fiesta” and at 8:00 by another episode of “Gateways Radio”.

Tuesday night January 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Wagner’s “Prelude to ‘Lohengrin’” and Richard Strauss’ “Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks”. Also on the program Bruckner’s “8th Symphony”.
