Might pot and ditch weed help ease the state's financial crisis and boost its farm economy? Sponsors of legislation to legalize recreational marijuana and to clear the way for large-scale production of industrial hemp are hoping to convince their colleagues that's the case.

The Bandwagon team is once again Better Tate Than Never! Discussed: The effects of the election on pro sports, and the use of marijuana (as opposed to opioids) as a painkiller by athletes. Um, no relation. There's a rivalry and some social media discussion, too. 

It's time to talk about ballot measures. Or rather, those other things voters are deciding on Nov. 8. This November, there are 156 measures being voted on in 35 states and the District of Columbia. California is in the lead, with a whopping 17 measures on its ballot.

The City Council in Decatur has raised the amount of marijuana someone can possess and still be guilty of no more than a city-code violation punishable by fines.
