Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s Carnegie Hall Live. Mitsuko Uchida is the soloist in Beethoven’s “4th Piano Concerto” with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Also on the program Prokofiev’s “3rd Piano Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas is the soloist in Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez”. Giancarlo Guerrero guest conducts.  Also on the program music of Ginastera, Tárrega and Chabrier.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Hilary Hahn is the soloist in ’s Korngold’s “Violin Concerto”. Jaap van Zweden conducts. Also on the program Beethoven’s “7th Symphony”. 

This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Korngold’s “Violin Concerto” from New York, Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” from Chicago, Beethoven’s “4th  Piano Concerto” from Carnegie Hall, Gershwin’s “Concerto in F” from Los Angeles, then Sunday a string quartet by Wynton Marsalis from Lincoln Center and music of Piazzolla and others on “Fiesta! With Elbio Barilari”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” with a centennial celebration of Margaret Hillis, former director of the Chicago Symphony Chorus. You’ll hear Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem”, and Bartok’s “Cantata profana”.
