The Evening Concert

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Taneyev’s Opus 30 Piano Quintet on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear a program titled “18th Century Latin American Jewels on “Fiesta!” With Elbio Barilari”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “This Week from China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts”. You’ll hear Debussy’s “La Mer” (The Sea) and four concert overtures by Beethoven. Also on the program Zhao Jinping’s “Cello Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Emanuel Ax is the soloist in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts. Also on the program Berlioz’s “Te Deum”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the "Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Music Director Riccardo Muti leads the group in Beethoven’s “3rd Symphony, the ‘Eroica”. Also on the program a symphonic fragment by Florence Price and Bizet’s “Roma Symphony”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear music by Mussorgsky, Borodin and Shostakovich: the “Khovanshchina Prelude: Dawn on the Moskva River”, “In the Steppes of Central Asia” and the “7th Symphony”.
