Building: A Habitat Home, A LEGO Skyscraper, And STEM

On this encore edition of The 21st: We spoke with three Illinois religious leaders who are part of an interfaith effort to build a Habitat for Humanity house. Plus, we met the artist behind the LEGO exhibit at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry and learned about the effect toys can have on children's perceptions of their own abilities.

Residents Divided Over Proposed Railroad Project; Can Horses Help Treat Trauma?; Cold Weather

On the 21st:  A new railroad is being proposed for the Great Lakes area. We discussed how this has some residents in Illinois excited over the new jobs it would bring to their area, while others are concerned about the environmental impact. Plus, we talked about how therapy horses help people with trauma, anxiety or mental illnesses. We also took a look at winter weather across the state.
