Current Plight For C-U Homeless Is ‘Unprecedented’

One year ago, there were 95 beds available in Champaign County for homeless men to use on an emergency basis.  Today they’re all gone, a casualty of the year-long state budget impasse. Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline spoke with Melany Jackson, chair of the Champaign County Council of Service Providers for the Homeless, about the situation.

Indiana GOP Sets July 26 Vote On Pence Replacement

Indiana GOP chairman Jeff Cardwell says the 22-member Republican state committee will meet July 26 to vote on who will oppose Democratic nominee John Gregg on the November ballot, now that incumbent Gov. Mike Pence has withdrawn in order to be Donald Trump's running mate.
