From Lincoln Center, you'll also hear Crusell's Clarinet Quartet, and from Santa Fe you'll also hear Frank Bridge's "Lament" for Two Violas.
She performs with the Milwaulee Symphony Orchestra on the Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin from 1780.
She's the soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra in two cello concertos by two "Edwards/Eduoards": Elgar and Lalo.
These two works both written within the last fifteen years of the 19th century could be seen as opposite to each other in 'sentiment': Elgar's musical portraits versus the pondering of one's life and passing.
Thomas Hampson sings the "Kindertotenlieder" (Songs on the Death of Children), a song cycle from 1904.
Music from New York, Chicago, Cleveland Milwaukee, then back to nNew York and out west to Santa Fe.
