Thursday night March 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. You’ll hear Tchaikovsky’s “6th Symphony”. Also on the program Oliver Knussen’s “Horn Concerto” featuring soloist William Caballero.
Wednesday night March 8 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Sibelius’ “2nd Symphony” performed by the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra led by Hobart Earle. Also on the program, Karamanov’s “3rd Piano Concerto” with soloist Tamara Stefanovich.
Tuesday night March 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Mozart’s “39th Symphony” with guest conductor Herbert Blomstedt. Also on the program Beethoven’s “3rd Symphony”, the ‘Eroica’.
Monday night March 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Bruckner’s “3rd Symphony”. Also on the program, Mozart’s “25th Piano Concerto” featuring soloist Emanuel Ax.
Sunday night March 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear William Bolcolm’s “Piano Quintet” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear a program of guitar music by Leo Brouwer on “Fiesta”.
Thursday night March 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra” joined by the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. You’ll hear Mahler’s “2nd Symphony” with soloists Ying Fang and Gerhild Romberger. Also on the program Sir James MacMillan’s “Miserere”.
Wednesday night March 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Dvorak’s 7th Symphony performed by the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra led by Marin Alsop. Also on the program, Prokofiev’s “3rd Piano Concerto” with soloist Benjamin Grosvenor.
Tuesday night February 28 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Beethoven’s’ 7th Symphony and Handel’s 1st “Water Music” Suite. Also on the program concertos by Vivaldi featuring CSO principal players.
Monday night February 27 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Shostakovich’s 7th Symphony, the “Leningrad”. Also on the program, Britten’s “Violin Concerto” featuring soloist Simone Lamsma.
Sunday night February 26 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Debussy’s “Premiere Rhapsody for Clarinet and Piano” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear a program of Afro-Latin American music on “Fiesta”.
