Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear a classic archival performance of Handel’s “Messiah” led by Helmut Rilling.   Vocal soloists include Annette Dasch, Daniel Taylor, James Taylor, and Shenyang.

This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear numerous Holiday specials, like Jonathan Winter’s classic reading of “A Christmas Carol”, the St. Olaf Christmas Festival”, “A Chanticleer Christmas”, “Welcome Christmas” with VocalEssence then Sunday two Holiday specials: “A Soulful Christmas” and “Latin American Christmas Carols”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 we pre-empt “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center” and “Fiesta! With Elbio Barilari” to bring you two Holiday specials” “A Choral Christmas with Stile Antico” and “Gaudete! Early Music for the Christmas Season”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Patricia Kopachinskaja is the soloist in Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto”. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla guest conducts.  Also on the program Saint-Saens’ “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso”, Ravel’s “Bolero” and Debussy’s “La mer”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s Carnegie Hall Live.  It’s an all-Beethoven program on which you’ll hear the “Emperor Piano Concerto”, the “8th Symphony”, the “Variations on a Theme from Mozart’s ‘Magic Flute’” and his last Piano Sonata.

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  You’ll hear John Corigliano’s “1st Symphony” conducted by Daniel Barenboim.  Also on the program Brahms’ “Haydn Variations” conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Yefim Bronfman is the soloist in Brahms’ “2nd Piano Concerto”. Zubin Mehta conducts this archival performance.  Also on the program Brahms’ “2nd Symphony in D Major”.
