Do Presidential Debates Even Matter?

 

With all the cross-talk and one-liners from the candidates on stage — is there value to the presidential debate, especially when many voters have already cast their ballots?  And have debates always been like this? Joining The 21st to help offer some historical perspective and to learn a little bit more about debating are the Director of the McGillicuddy Humanities Center at the University of Maine and a forensics coach at Northern Illinois University.
