Exploring Illinois Pizzas: Chicago Deep Dish Style

October is National Pizza Month and here on The 21st Show, we’ll be discussing all of the variations of the pie available across Illinois, including Chicago Deep Dish, Chicago Tavern, Quad Cities and St. Louis style. 

And kicking off this first segment, we’ll be focusing on the most famous (or maybe in infamous) of all the Illinois pizzas: Chicago Deep Dish Style. But while it may be the most famous, it also has the murkiest history, and the pie itself has evolved over the years.
